Equipped with a full-service bar and a rooftop terrace, The Detroit Pizza Bar is a modern and trendy new eatery situated in the Livernois-Six Mile (McNichols) corridor in the University District—one of Detroit’s rapidly transforming neighborhoods. Featuring an Italian menu that includes vegan and gluten-free offerings, it is a hybrid of a fine- and casual-dining experience.
In addition to providing residents with a welcoming new spot for food, fun and friends, the Detroit Pizza Bar is sure to disrupt the average urban dining model with its adaptive outlook on food service. The pizzeria offers its patrons more responsive tables and service staff while also guaranteeing each pie features farm-to-table sourced ingredients.

Our Ambiance

Walking through the doors of the DPB, our woodfire oven will grab your attention only second to our delectable menu. After ordering, guests are able to watch our chefs elevate a mundane ball of dough into a perfectly palatable pizza pie fresh out of the oven. Echoing our dedication to sustainability and healthy, yet functional spaces, our restaurant is accented with reclaimed wood elements underscoring DPB’s rustic yet contemporary style.

The LED lighting and sleek finishes create an atmosphere that is sure to set the tone for any vibe, ranging from a quick meet-up with friends, a team-building lunch or an after-five party—which is perfect for the rental opportunities we offer for guests seeking to host special occasions.

The Detroit Pizza Bar welcomes Detroiters of all interests—from the cheesy, greasy pizza patron to the health-hound looking to make their meals more interesting. We offer a wide range of toppings, fresh ingredients and healthy food options.

Sustainability and health sit at the center of our recipe to cook up our carefully curated menu. Featuring fresh, farm-to-table produce, meats, and cheeses, Detroit Pizza Bar sources all of its ingredients from vetted, local suppliers and farmers.

Despite our dedication to sourcing locally, building our restaurant with reclaimed materials and offering the highest quality ingredients, we still sought ways to ensure that we feed the community beyond our kitchen.

As DPB connects deeper with the community, we plan to partner with residents and local organizations, known as our Pizza Partners, to offer a special “sponsored” menu featuring pizza recipes created by the people and for the people. Detroit Pizza Bar will welcome Detroiters to submit pizza recipes for the DPB sponsored menu. Each pizza on our sponsored menu will serve as our vehicle through which we will continuously give back to the community that made us.

For every sponsored menu pizza purchased, Detroit Pizza Bar will donate a portion of that revenue back to the organization sponsored by that recipe. Once we wrap up the negotiations with our first round of sponsored organizations, DPB will open for community suggested recipes. Then, DPB will offer those pizzas on out menu for purchase by any DPB guest. There is more to come as partnerships develop, so stay tuned!
